Welcome to Ziguana Beta!

On behalf of team Ziguana, I'd like to thank all of you who waited patiently for this big overhaul. First off, while in beta, Ziguana will be completely free. Our goal is to provide analytics and tools tailored to your fantasy league. We've reworked the entire site to improve speed, add hockey (with football coming soon!), and of course ramp up the analysis. Right now we're only four men strong, so while we've been slaving away on new features, undoubtedly there will also be new bugs. So, please bear with us. Feedback, suggestions, and complaints are of great help, so keep them coming. We know our users are the best fantasy managers in the world, and we're determined to build a fantasy dynasty with your help.

I'm new, what's the gist?

Our focus has and always will be to provide power algorithms for everyone. As a fantasy manager, you're bombarded by news alerts, expert advice, and more stats than you can fit on an excel spreadsheet. We're here to compile all that information, send it through our algorithms, and return only the actionable insights.

I'm a seasoned pro, give me the details!

Team Ziguana is the perfect storm of fantasy junkies and statistical magicians. When we say "power algorithms", we mean it. Everything we do revolves around a simple concept called z-scores (hence the "Z" in our name). This lets us compare rebounds to assists or strikeouts to home runs. We can do some pretty cool comparisons with these rankings, compile team and league averages, and figure out where you rank. However, the real magic happens in our matchup analysis (head to head leagues only). Here we employ Bayesian projection methods, cauchy distributions and density functions for deadly accurate win probabilities, patent pending lineup optimization, and evolve using genetic algorithms.
